Mossy Bottom Laboratory

A free family half-term programme of spooky Shaun the Sheep-themed science shows, animation workshops, trails and Halloween activities at the National Science and Media Museum.

Inspired by the Sky Original film Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, the museum hosts a half-term programme of free family activities. Visitors can catch a 20-minute live science show in the Wonderlab Studio, try stop-motion animation in MakeSpace, explore special-effects monster make-up in the Sound and Vision gallery, and follow a self-guided family trail. On Saturday 31 October there are extras including a Spooky Silent Disco with resident DJ Count Trackula, curator talks on scary film sounds, face painting and a photo opportunity, with BSL interpretation available that day.
