About
Experienced paddlers can try the canoe club and demonstrate boat control, manoeuvres and wet exits in a coached skills assessment.
For adults aged 18 and over with at least 2-star/Explore-level paddling skills. Participants demonstrate straight paddling, turns, sideways and backwards movement, abrupt stopping and wet exits, including from a kayak fitted with a spraydeck. Certification evidence may be requested. Successful participants may join other evening activities and can choose club membership; others receive advice about beginner development. The native listing includes a barbecue.
