Observing the Seasons – Winter
About
A two-hour sketching workshop at Sunny Bank Mills using watercolour and mixed media to observe the winter landscape and changing seasons.
This two-hour workshop is part of a series returning to Sunny Bank Mills every three months to observe seasonal change through sketches. The winter session responds to the transition from autumn to winter, exploring softer watercolour textures, expressive linework and negative space, and adapting technique to slower drying times with smaller paintings. Watercolour is provided, with participants welcome to bring other media such as graphite, ink or pastels; paper is supplied and sketchbooks are available in the gallery store.
