Sew with Nelly Bea Thursday Sewing Session

An open two-hour afternoon sewing session where adults work on their own projects with guidance from a qualified textiles teacher.

This is a single two-hour session running from 2pm to 4pm at Hall on the Hill in Christchurch, hosted by a qualified textiles teacher and experienced seamstress. It is an open, unstructured session rather than a taught workshop: attendees bring their own project and receive support and guidance, whether they are complete beginners or advanced sewers. Skills covered depend on the chosen project and may include machine sewing, seams and hems, fastenings such as zips and buttonholes, hand stitching, decorative features, and reading or adapting commercial patterns. Sewing machines can be loaned if booked in advance, and the session is for adults only.
