Founders Day
About
The museum's annual Founders Day marks its 1973 opening with 10p/20p entry, archive displays, steam traction engine rides and volunteer demonstrations.
Founders Day commemorates Madge and Henry Jackson, who opened the museum as The Old Kiln Museum in April 1973. Entry is charged at the original 1973 prices of 10p for children and 20p for adults, cash only. Original volunteers will share memories, the archive team will display rare objects in the refurbished village hall, and visitors can enjoy trailer rides behind a steam traction engine plus running machines, engines and demonstrations throughout the day. Picnics are welcome and the Market Garden Café will serve food and drinks.
