BHM – Community Art Project
About
A free drop-in Black History Month collaborative art project at Nourish Hub where the community paints dishes onto a long paper roll during Community Lunch.
Nourish Hub marks Black History Month with a collaborative art project exploring the intersection of art, heritage and food, running alongside its Community Lunch. Volunteer champions guide residents and families to paint a meaningful plate of food onto a long roll of paper, creating a top-down view of dishes from many cultural cuisines. The kitchen cooks West African and Caribbean-inspired food as part of the subsidised £3 three-course lunch offer. The art activity runs 12–3pm as a drop-in and out session in the mainspace, with no ticket needed.
