Autumn Afternoon Fungi Walk in Cannon Hill Park

A two-hour guided fungi walk in Cannon Hill Park led by fungus expert Lukas Large, learning how to identify the park's autumn fungi.

Friends of Cannon Hill Park host a relaxed two-hour walk exploring the fungi found in the park, which is particularly rich in mushrooms during September and October. Fungus expert Lukas Large of the West Midlands Fungus Group leads the walk and explains how to identify the species encountered. The walk starts at the bridge from the Nature Centre car park and goes ahead whatever the weather; children are welcome when accompanied by an adult, but the route is not wheelchair accessible.
