Jeremy Gardiner: The Lake District

An exhibition of Jeremy Gardiner's textured landscape paintings of the Lake District at Portland Gallery.

Jeremy Gardiner's new series of paintings focuses on the Lake District, drawing on three years of observing its mountains, lakes and waterfalls. The works are acrylic and jesmonite on poplar panel, with layered textures and expressive colours reflecting his research into geology and his emotional response to the landscape. Subjects include panoramic views of Windermere and Ullswater alongside depictions of tarns, fells and waterfalls, evoking light, atmosphere, weather and the changing seasons.
