Maker Showcase: Blandine Anderson

Ceramic work by Devon maker Blandine Anderson, whose practice draws on childhood interests and uses clay to revisit ideas through colour, scale and form.

Blandine Anderson’s sculptural ceramics pair animal forms with carefully balanced bases and proportions. This showcase brings together works from her third book with supporting found and natural objects. The pieces are built individually in porcelain or stoneware, then coloured and textured with slips, oxides and glazes; the exhibition also includes an opportunity to meet Anderson and see the work behind her ceramic practice.
