The Language of Drawing – Foundations II

The second part of a drawing-foundations course explores still life, shading, value, hatching and perspective.

Build on the skills introduced in Foundations I through guided still-life drawing. Explore shading, light, value, contrast, gradients and hatching, then develop one- and two-point perspective with horizon lines and vanishing points. The course also studies geometric forms and applies these foundations to more complex compositions. Completion of Foundations I is highly recommended.
