Family Clay: Paint Palettes

Children aged 7–16 and their accompanying adults handbuild and decorate a paint palette and water pot from clay.

Ruth Waller guides families through making a paint palette and water pot using slab-building, pinch-pot, carving and coloured decoration techniques. The 30 October workshop runs 10:00–12:00 at the Harley Pottery Studio. Materials, tools, clay and firing are included; finished pieces are collected from the museum when ready, which may take up to six weeks. One accompanying adult ticket is required per booking and the adult must stay. Adults may accompany without making a piece free of charge, or choose the £12 materials add-on to make their own creation.
