WWT London
About
A Surrey Bird Club morning field meeting birdwatching around the WWT London wetland reserve at Barnes, looking for waterfowl, Bearded Tit, Bittern and other species.
Surrey Bird Club's field meeting visits the WWT London wetland centre at Barnes, a regular venue for the club. The morning walk covers flat made paths of no more than 1.5 miles, with hides, good photography opportunities and a visitor centre with shop and cafe on site. Recent years have produced Bearded Tit, Bittern, Cetti's Warbler, Siskin, Stonechat and Peregrine, and attendees can expect a good array of waterfowl, gulls and small passerines with a chance of raptors. The group meets by the bridge at the Visitor Centre entrance at 10.00am when the centre opens.
