About

York Theatre Royal stages Margaret Atwood's stage adaptation of her novel, in which Penelope retells Homer's Odyssey from the underworld, giving voice to herself and her chorus of maids in a tale of injustice, betrayal and revenge. The production is interwoven with songs and directed by Juliet Forster, with Amelia Bullmore starring as Penelope. A post-show discussion with the company follows the Friday 23 October performance. The show runs about 2 hours 20 minutes and is recommended for ages 14 and over.
