About
A cinema live screening of the Royal Opera's production of Bizet's Carmen, starring Ginger Costa-Jackson and Russell Thomas.
Damiano Michieletto's Royal Opera production of Bizet's Carmen is screened live at Airdrie Town Hall. The opera follows the fiercely independent Carmen, whose warning to Don José cannot curb his obsessive love, with the drama set against the heat of Spain. Ginger Costa-Jackson sings the title role with Russell Thomas as Don José, and Sesto Quatrini conducts. The screening runs approximately 3 hours 35 minutes with one interval and is sung in French with English subtitles.
