New Year's Day Raceday

A New Year's Day horse racing fixture at Musselburgh Racecourse combining jump racing, live music, style awards and an after-racing party.

Musselburgh Racecourse's New Year's Day Raceday is a long-running 1 January tradition featuring over £100,000 in prize money, including the £50,000 Auld Reekie Handicap Chase and the £30,000 Hogmaneigh Hurdle. The day blends top-class jump racing with live music, winter style awards and a ceilidh, followed by a one-hour after-racing party. Children aged 15 and under go free when accompanied by a guardian, though child and concession tickets must be booked in advance.
