A practical farm event at Miller Farming with James Bretherton covering soil sampling, soil health and reducing fertiliser costs, including a farm walk and lunch.

The Farmer Network Ltd hosts a practical farm event at Miller Farming with soil expert James Bretherton and Catchment Sensitive Farming officers. After arrival at 10.45am and welcome, attendees join a farm walk with hands-on soil sampling and soil aerator demonstrations, learning how to improve soil structure, forage quality and livestock health while cutting fertiliser costs. A hot lunch is provided from 12.30pm, followed by questions and discussion until the event finishes at 1.30pm. The event is funded by the Lake District Farming in Protected Landscapes Fund and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
