Caldew Farmers' meeting and supper, Caldbeck
About
A farmers’ meeting about the Reconnecting & Reviving the Caldew project, soil health and local farm resilience, followed by supper.
The first meeting for the Reconnecting & Reviving the Caldew project introduces Eden Rivers Trust’s work and opportunities for local farms. Professor John Quinton of Lancaster University gives a talk on soil health, followed by supper and informal discussion about the changing climate, water management, nature recovery and farm-business resilience. The meeting is for farmers in the Upper Caldew and Caldbeck catchments, including Mosedale, Hutton Roof, Millhouse, Caldbeck, Whelpo, Fellside and Branthwaite. Book by 10 November and provide any dietary requirements.
