Sunday Piano Series — Vadym Kholodenko

Pianist Vadym Kholodenko opens the Sunday Piano Series with Liszt's La Leggierezza and Beethoven's Hammerklavier Sonata.

The Van Cliburn competition winner Vadym Kholodenko opens the new Sunday Piano Series season with a one-hour recital introduced from the stage. The programme pairs Liszt's Concert Étude 'La Leggierezza' with Beethoven's monumental Piano Sonata No. 29 in B-flat major, the 'Hammerklavier', famed for its emotional range, technical demands and closing fugue. Audiences can meet the pianist in the bar after the concert; doors open at 10am.
