About
A house-guide talk in the Lower Gallery traces Anglesey Abbey from medieval religious site to country house and its later reshaping through architecture, art and collecting.
House guides discuss how the medieval religious site developed into a country house and how Lord Fairhaven later reshaped it through architecture, art, gardens and collecting. Examples include paintings by Claude Lorrain and Canova’s rediscovered Amorino. The talk lasts approximately 30–40 minutes and is free with ordinary property admission. Visitors can ask the welcome team in the visitor centre on the day.
