About
Claire-Louise Hardie introduces sewing-machine basics, from bobbins and threading to stitches, seams and turning corners. Machines, tools and materials are provided.
A beginner workshop with Claire-Louise Hardie (The Thrifty Stitcher) covers machine anatomy, winding and inserting a bobbin, threading, basic stitches, straight and curved sewing, corners and finishing seams. No prior sewing-machine experience is required. The class uses Janome machines and is limited to eight students, with tools and materials supplied. Participants must be aged 18 or over.
