About

New Adventures revive Matthew Bourne's Olivier-winning dance production of Cinderella, a wartime love story set in 1940 London, for a week at Mayflower Theatre.

New Adventures return to Southampton with the 30th Anniversary production of Matthew Bourne's Cinderella, set in London during the 1940 Blitz. The dance piece reimagines the fairy tale as a wartime romance between Cinderella and a young RAF pilot, told to Prokofiev's score with Olivier Award-winning designs by Lez Brotherston, lighting by Neil Austin and sound design by Paul Groothuis. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday with matinees on Thursday and Saturday, and the production carries content warnings for theatrical smoke, strobe lighting and loud noises. Recommended age 8+.
