Drumline Holiday Workshop

A half-term drumline workshop for drum kit students aged 9+, led by Grammy-winning drummer Adam Teixeira at Beacon Music Centre.

This three-hour half-term holiday workshop introduces drum kit students aged 9+ to drumline performance, covering creativity, musicality, beats, fills and chops. Participants work through material from Adam Teixeira's book Flipping Beats, starting with warm-ups, rudiments and stick control on practice pads before moving to snares and bass drums in a group drumline session. It is part of Bristol Beacon's new Percussion Series, with a choice of a morning (9.30am–12.30pm) or afternoon (1.30–4.30pm) session; attendees should bring their own drum sticks.
