BSO Youth Piano Workshop
About
A creative workshop for young pianists in Year 8 and above exploring Prokofiev's 'Classical' Symphony with BSO Associate Jon James.
Bristol Beacon partners with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for a workshop for young musicians in Year 8 and above, especially those learning piano or keyboard. Led by BSO Associate Jon James, participants explore the ideas behind Prokofiev's 'Classical' Symphony and attempt to create their own neoclassical piece in an hour. Participants should bring an instrument or be prepared to sing, and are joined by pianist Boris Giltburg for a relaxed Q&A. Each participant also receives two tickets for the evening BSO concert at Beacon Hall (under-14s must attend with an adult).
