Writing at the Crossroads: a Remember Oluwale Writing Workshop

A creative writing workshop with Sai Murray exploring David Oluwale's story and themes of migration, identity and belonging, followed by a shared meal and live radio broadcast.

Facilitated by the Remember Oluwale anti-racist charity with Chapel FM and supported by Leeds Beckett University as part of the Being Human Festival, this poetry and creative writing workshop uses David Oluwale's story as a starting point to explore cross-cultural fusion, migration, identity and belonging. Participants take part in writing activities and shared discussion, then continue the conversation over a themed meal inspired by ideas of fusion and migration. Afterwards, attendees can share their writing in a live radio broadcast from Chapel FM or join the studio audience; no previous writing experience is needed and the workshop is recommended for ages 12 and over.
