Sowing our Mini-Meadow
About
GoodGym Barnet volunteers sow a mini-meadow at Warnham Road Green in North Finchley, with community bramble-bashing for biodiversity.
As part of the Finchley Pollinators' plan to plant 600 mini-meadows across Barnet, the Friends of Warnham Green have cleared a patch in the brambles at Warnham Road Green. Volunteers will sow the mini-meadow for locals to enjoy in spring — the sowing itself takes only about 10 minutes — and encourage the community to get involved in biodiversity by bashing brambles. The session runs 10:00–11:00 on Saturday 31 October 2026 (date changed due to weather) and is led by George Ttoouli; participants aged 18 or over can run or walk to the task.
