Chinese Brush Painting – Winter Pine and Cranes

A one-day Chinese brush painting workshop for beginners and all levels, painting symbolic winter pine and red-crowned cranes with tutor Angela Reich.

Tutor Angela Reich leads a five-hour workshop introducing traditional Chinese brush painting, focused on pine trees and red-crowned cranes, both rich in Chinese symbolism. Participants paint in the freehand style, write a Chinese phrase, and study works by famous Chinese artists to gain insight into Chinese culture. No previous art experience is needed; all materials and equipment are provided on loan, though attendees should dress for possible ink stains. The session is open to ages 16 and over.
