Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism Tier 2

A one-day face-to-face Tier 2 Oliver McGowan training session for health and social care staff on supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people.

This one-day in-person training is designed for health and social care staff who may need to provide care and support to autistic people and people with a learning disability. Tier 2 is split into two parts: participants must first complete a 90-minute e-Learning module with handbook before attending the full-day face-to-face session. The training is co-delivered by an approved trainer with a learning disability, an approved autistic trainer and an approved facilitating trainer, and includes sensitive content about Oliver McGowan's story. Participants receive a certificate of completion afterwards.
