The Mark Buckingham Big Band: “Love You Madly” – The Unforgettable Music of Duke Ellington!

The Mark Buckingham Big Band performs Duke Ellington's music in original arrangements at Jazz Cafe POSK.

The Mark Buckingham Big Band, formed during lockdown, presents an evening devoted to the music of Duke Ellington. Professional musicians emulate the stars of Ellington's own band, such as Johnny Hodges, Paul Gonsalves, Harry Carney, Cootie Williams and Ray Nance. The programme features original arrangements of pieces including Concerto for Cootie, Agra, Blue Goose and Caravan, alongside rarer material, celebrating the subtlety, dynamics and balance of the Ellington sound.
