About
A BBOWT talk at the Nature Discovery Centre exploring the science behind our love of nature and its benefits for wellbeing.
Part of the Wild Threads series of talks linking landscape, nature, ecology, literature and wildlife, this session looks at the science behind our love of nature. Host Ailsa Claybourne, known for Birds and a Brew, explores why a walk in the countryside makes us feel better, our connection to the east Africa of our distant ancestors, and practical ways to enhance wellbeing — including why digging the garden is good for you. The session lasts 90 minutes.
