About

A morning of tea, a talk on rewilding and birds, and an optional bird-spotting walk at the Nature Discovery Centre in Thatcham.

The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust hosts a four-hour session combining a brew, a talk about birds and nature, and a walk to see what can be found. The talk explores what rewilding really means and how it happens, prompted by white storks breeding in the UK in 2020 for the first time since 1414, and looks at ecology and how wildlife can be helped in 21st-century Britain. The bird-spotting walk is optional and may vary in length depending on what is seen on the day, occasionally running past 2pm for those who wish to stay.
