Free Naloxone & Overdose Awareness Training
About
A free two-hour naloxone and overdose awareness training session run with Turning Point at The CoHub in Hackney.
This free, practical session delivered in partnership with Turning Point teaches participants to recognise the signs of an overdose and respond in an emergency. Topics include common opioids and their risks, overdose prevention, naloxone and current legislation, emergency life support skills such as CPR and the recovery position, and how to administer both injectable and nasal naloxone. No previous knowledge is needed; the session is aimed at residents, volunteers and community workers, though it is not a certified CPR or basic life support course.
