Archaeologist David Rudling speaks about religion and burial practices in Roman Sussex, drawing on his archaeological work across the county.

David Rudling’s talk concerns religion and the disposal of the dead in Roman Sussex. His published event biography describes decades of archaeological work in Sussex, including Roman villas and temples, and identifies religion and ritual in Roman Britain among his research interests. The talk is one of Uckfield Heritage’s monthly historical lectures. Tickets are £8 for members and £10 for non-members, plus booking fees.
