The Grove Bookshop Writing Group

A free monthly social writing group at Ilkley's Grove Bookshop, welcoming writers of all levels to share work and feedback.

The Grove Bookshop Writing Group is a monthly social meet-up for writers aged 18 and over, hosted at the Grove Bookshop in Ilkley and facilitated by writer, editor and teacher Emily Devane. Sessions run 7-9pm and follow a set format: introductions, a catch-up on members' writing, a monthly discussion topic, a refreshments break, and optional sharing of short excerpts from works in progress with constructive group feedback. All genres of creative writing are welcome, from poetry and flash fiction to memoir and novels, and no preparation is required.
