About
A Festival of Economics panel debate on whether undergraduate degrees are still worth it in the age of AI, tuition fees and student debt.
This hour-long panel session questions the role of undergraduate study in the age of AI and whether it is still worth getting a degree. It examines the rising cost of tuition fees, growing student debt, taxpayer subsidy of loans and the disruption AI is causing to education and the labour market, asking who will pay for higher education in future. The discussion is chaired by Chris Smyth of the Financial Times, with panellists Gill Wyness, Glen O'Hara, Debbie McVitty and Sarah Bevan.
