About
FT journalist Sarah O'Connor discusses her book We Are Not Machines on how AI and automation are changing work, in conversation at Festival of Economics.
Financial Times journalist Sarah O'Connor presents her new book We Are Not Machines: The Fight for the Future of Work, examining how robots and AI are reshaping jobs — with work becoming lonelier and less human, but also stories of jobs made better where workers control the new tools. She is joined in discussion by Guardian economics editor Heather Stewart and Sue Turner OBE, Professor in Practice in AI and Digital Technologies at the University of Bristol, exploring questions of power, design and institutions. The event is part of the Festival of Economics and lasts one hour.
