Jonathan Stone directs and plays violin with Royal Northern Sinfonia in a candlelit string programme featuring Mendelssohn, Walton, Purcell, Dvořák and Dorothy Howell.

This Winter Tour features Mendelssohn’s String Symphony No. 2, Walton’s Sonata for Strings and Two Pieces from Henry V, Purcell’s String Fantasia, Dvořák’s Romance for Violin and Strings and Serenade for Strings, and Dorothy Howell’s Nocturne for muted strings. Jonathan Stone leads the string players of Royal Northern Sinfonia as director and violinist.
