Castanets Classes

Friendly Sunday-morning castanets classes with Maika covering finger technique, coordination and Sevillanas toques, open to beginners and continuing students.

Maika leads 45-minute castanets classes at El Mundo Flamenco near Bond Street, running on three consecutive Sunday mornings. Sessions develop finger technique, coordination and musicality while learning the Sevillanas toques on castanets. Complete beginners and those continuing from a previous course are both welcome, and participants can bring their own castanets or borrow a pair in class.
