Volunteering @ Oilhouse Willow Bed

A free volunteer day with Severn Gorge Countryside Trust doing site maintenance and willow harvesting at Oilhouse Willow Bed.

Volunteers join the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust for practical conservation work at Oilhouse Willow Bed, carrying out site maintenance and willow harvesting on flat ground with some uneven patches. Participants meet at Coalbrookdale Community Centre, with an optional minibus pick-up at 9.45am, or can meet on site. Tools, training, gloves and safety equipment are provided; attendees bring sturdy boots, outdoor clothing, waterproofs and a packed lunch, with tea, coffee and biscuits at the morning break. New volunteers must register with the trust by email or phone before booking, and 16/17-year-olds need parental permission.
