About
A free in-person LAMAS lecture by MOLA senior archaeologist Eben Cooper on the archaeology of Lambeth Palace and recent excavations there.
Eben Cooper, Senior Archaeologist at MOLA, presents an in-person lecture on the archaeology of Lambeth Palace, the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury with a history spanning over 800 years. MOLA and its precursors have investigated the palace since the 1980s, with the most recent works running from 2021 to early 2026. The talk will give background on the palace's archaeology and discuss how the recent works have advanced understanding of its development.
