Remembrance Sunday Military Tour
About
A free Remembrance Sunday walking tour of Sheffield General Cemetery, pausing for a two-minute silence at the War Memorial, followed by refreshments in the Samuel Worth Chapel.
This volunteer-led fundraising tour marks Remembrance Sunday with a walk through Sheffield General Cemetery, pausing at the War Memorial for a two-minute silence honouring those who died or were wounded in the World Wars and more recent conflicts. Afterwards, light refreshments are served in the Samuel Worth Chapel, where history books including A Life Too Soon Done will be on sale. The tour is aimed at adults and best suited to children over 11, who must be accompanied by an adult. The site's sloping landscape and uneven paths mean not all areas are fully accessible.
