Jekyll & Hyde: Unbound
About
Christopher Leslie performs a one-man adaptation of Stevenson's Jekyll and Hyde, told through lawyer Utterson's eyes, at York Medical Society.
Writer and performer Christopher Leslie returns with a one-man adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's gothic tale, retitled Jekyll & Hyde: Unbound. The piece is framed around Gabriel John Utterson, the lawyer and former friend of Doctor Henry Jekyll, who invites the audience into Jekyll's former home and finally reveals what tore the two men apart and who the shadowy Mr Hyde really is. The 90-minute performance deals with identity, murder, betrayal and the darkness of the human psyche, and is strictly for ages 14 and over. Doors open at 7pm, with a no-latecomers policy.
