Jekyll and Hyde by Evan Placey after Robert Louis Stevenson
About
Rose Bruford College students stage Evan Placey's modern reimagining of Stevenson's Jekyll and Hyde at the Rose Theatre.
Rose Bruford College presents Evan Placey's adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Gothic thriller, directed by Maisie Newman. Following Dr Jekyll's mysterious death, his widow Harriet searches for answers amid rumours of the dangerous Hyde, blending Victorian London with today's digital world to explore identity, power and suppression. The production is the second in a season of plays staged in collaboration with the college's technical programmes, performed by BA Acting and Actor Musicianship students. It runs about two hours 30 minutes and is recommended for ages 14+.
