Shadow Road's 'Fireside Folktales' series continues with this original adaptation by Emma King-Farlow of Robert Louis Stevenson's Jekyll and Hyde, focusing on the man behind the monster as much as Edward Hyde himself. Four actors use live singing, sound effects and multi-role storytelling in a sixty-five-minute piece about memory, guilt and responsibility. The intimate studio staging places the audience close to the action, and the production contains staged violence and psychological intensity.
