Pink Ulysses

Eric De Kuyper assembles film and music fragments into a visual journey through the Odyssey, drawing on opera, popular song and modernist cinema.

Ulysses’ wanderings provide the thread for this experimental montage, which brings together music and images from sources including Rossini, Wagner, Zarah Leander, Sergei Eisenstein and Jean Cocteau. Friends and acquaintances of the director also appear in the film’s exploration of beauty.
