Khrustalyov, My Car!

In Moscow in 1953, surgeon Yuri Glinsky is abducted as Stalin lies dying and a political purge closes in.

Alexei German’s black-and-white film follows Glinsky and his family through a disorienting climate of political danger. Close-Up places the screening in its Histoire(s) du cinéma series; no separate guest or additional bill is listed.
