Deer of Burley Wood

A guided early-morning walk in Burley Woods with the Wild Rutland team to spot fallow, roe and muntjac deer.

Wild Rutland leads a guided walked tour through Burley Woods to spot fallow, roe and muntjac deer, with the chance to hear fallow bucks calling from their stands if conditions allow. The safari is described as a semi-strenuous walk with regular pauses, requiring reasonable fitness and the ability to cope with uneven, wet and slippy ground; wellies are a necessity on wet days. It runs from 6:30am to 8:30am on Tuesday 27 October 2026 and costs £22.50 per person.
