Inventors' Club
About
The Inventors' Club is a Business & IP Centre session where innovators discuss bringing products to market, with expert panel feedback.
Hosted by the Business & IP Centre with Bob Lindsey, this event brings together innovators to discuss the journey from idea to market — covering R&D, prototyping, manufacturing, distribution and marketing. Speakers for October 2026 are Sarah Lewendon, continuing her account of converting an environmentally-friendly storage invention into a product, and Paul and Neha, presenting Dopameany, an analogue object encouraging families to swap phone time for shared time. An expert panel of product designers — Richard Hicks, Dean Carran and Stefan Knox — draws on their own commercialisation experience, and Mark Sheahan, the Library's Innovator in Residence, is a collaborator. Registration opens at 5:40pm for a prompt 6:00pm start.
