Llanfaelog, Ty Croes

A free volunteer-run repair cafe where locals bring broken items to be fixed while enjoying tea and coffee.

Volunteer repairers attempt to fix broken or damaged items brought in by visitors, free of charge, while people wait over a cup of tea or coffee. Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair and woodworking, though microwaves are excluded for safety reasons. Visitors can also learn how repairs are done, and more volunteer fixers are welcome to come along.
