A one-day willow weaving workshop where participants make an oblong or oval garden basket with Devon maker Sarah Le Breton.
Sarah Le Breton leads a full-day basket-making workshop at Chevithorne Village Hall, with a maximum of eight participants. Attendees choose to weave either a beginner-friendly oblong garden basket or an oval basket suited to those with some experience, using willow grown on the Somerset Levels. Techniques covered include a catalan platter base, a three-rod wale weave with a colourful stripe, a four-behind-two rod border and a twisted willow handle. The price includes all materials, tools and refreshments, with an optional homemade lunch available for £12.50 payable on the day.
