Willow Chic Basket Workshop with Sarah Le Breton

A one-day willow weaving workshop with Sarah Le Breton making a stylish conical basket with a leather handle, suitable for beginners and improvers.

Sarah Le Breton leads a full-day willow basketry workshop in which participants weave a 25cm conical basket designed to be used as a handbag, lunch bag or foraging basket. The day covers a round catalan platter base, 3-rod wale weaving with a colourful stripe, bystaking, a 5-behind-1 rod border and fitting a leather or vegan leatherette handle. Weaving uses colourful willow grown on the Somerset Levels, with all materials and tools provided and a maximum of eight participants. The workshop runs from a 9.15am arrival for a 9.30am start to an approximately 5.45pm finish, with an optional homemade lunch available for £12.50.
